Who we are

StreamPrize (streamprize.com) offers free tools for live streams: a character spinner, chat polls and overlays for OBS and other streaming apps. It is run by an independent developer in Brazil. For anything about your data, write to contact@streamprize.com.

We collect as little as the tools need to work. We do not sell your data, show ads or share it with anyone for marketing.

If you log in as a streamer

The spinner and its overlay require an account. You log in with Twitch or YouTube. From Twitch we receive your account ID, username, display name, profile picture and email address; from Google and YouTube, the data listed under "Google user data" below. We keep:

  • your channel ID, username, display name and a link to your profile picture, to show who is logged in and to tie the overlay to your channel;
  • your email address, when your login provides it, kept with your account. We do not send you marketing emails;
  • the link of your overlay and its secret key, so the same overlay opens on any computer you log in from;
  • your spinner setup (slots, odds, fixed and removed characters), which the overlay needs to show your spins.

We never see your password, and we do not post, read your chat or act on your channel.

Google user data: what we access

Logging in with YouTube asks Google for read-only access to your YouTube account (Google's screen calls it "View your YouTube account"), together with your basic Google profile. That is the only Google access StreamPrize asks for. With it we receive:

  • from your Google account: its ID, its email address (brand channels may not have one), your name and your profile picture;
  • from YouTube, read once each time you log in: your channel's ID, its @handle, its name and a link to its picture.

We do not read your videos, playlists, comments, subscriptions, subscribers, viewers, earnings or statistics, and we do not upload, change or delete anything on YouTube or in your Google account.

Google user data: how we use it

We use Google user data only to provide your StreamPrize login:

  • your Google account ID confirms that the YouTube access belongs to the same Google account you logged in with, so no one can take over someone else's channel;
  • your channel's ID ties your account, and the overlay link saved in it, to a channel you really own. Your basic Google profile alone does not say which YouTube channel is yours - one Google account may have none or several - and that is why we ask for read-only YouTube access;
  • your channel's name and picture show you who is logged in, in the corner of the site;
  • your email address stays with your account, so we can confirm it is you when you ask to see or delete your data.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, for profiling, to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or for anything other than the login. We never sell it, and people do not read it, except with your permission, for security or when the law requires it.

StreamPrize's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data: sharing, transfer and disclosure

We do not share, transfer or disclose Google user data to anyone, except:

  • to the hosting and database providers that store it and run StreamPrize for us, as service providers that may use it only to provide that service;
  • when the law, a court order or a public authority requires it, and then only what is required;
  • if StreamPrize is merged or sold, to the new owner, under this same policy - and we would say so on the site first.

Your channel's name and picture are shown only to you, while you are logged in. We do not show them to your viewers or publish them.

Google user data: how we protect it

We protect Google user data, and all account data, with:

  • encryption in transit: the site, the login and every connection to our providers and to Google use HTTPS (TLS);
  • encryption at rest: the account database is stored encrypted;
  • no stored Google access: the access Google gives us when you log in is used right away, only to call Google, and then discarded. We keep no Google access or refresh tokens, so we cannot read your YouTube account after the login ends;
  • database access rules: each account can read only its own record, and the channel in it can only come from Google or Twitch at login - it cannot be typed in. The servers that answer the site hold no administrator key to the database;
  • protected sessions: your login is kept in secure cookies that are sent only over HTTPS and that the page's scripts cannot read; logging out ends the session;
  • restricted access: only the developer can reach the systems where the data is stored, and only to run and fix the service.

Google user data: keeping and deleting it

Google user data is kept while your account exists; each new login with YouTube reads your channel again and replaces its name and picture. To delete it, write to contact@streamprize.com: we delete your account and its Google user data within 30 days.

You can remove StreamPrize's access at any time in your Google account permissions. That does not delete what we already keep - for that, write to us.

By logging in with YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to what Google does.

If you vote in a poll

Viewers do not need an account. To keep the vote fair we use:

  • a random ID in a cookie, so one browser counts as one voter and can change its vote. It lasts 30 days from your last vote;
  • an automatic check that you are not a bot, on your first vote in each poll;
  • your IP address, only to limit how many voters one network can add to a poll. We never store the IP itself.

The poll and its votes are deleted at most 48 hours after the poll is created.

If you suggest a game

The suggestion form sends the game's name and, if you fill them in, your channel and your ideas, together with the page language and the time. It has the same bot check. We keep the latest 2,000 suggestions and read them to decide which games come next.

Usage measurement

We count how the site is used - pages opened, links created, spins on air, votes - to know what is worth improving. These counts have no cookie, no IP and nothing that identifies you.

Visits to the public pages are counted the same way, without cookies.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only the cookies the tools need, and no advertising or tracking cookies:

  • login cookies, that keep you logged in for up to 30 days;
  • a cookie that protects the login while you go to Twitch or YouTube and back, for 10 minutes;
  • the voter cookie in polls (see above).

Your browser also remembers your language, light or dark theme and your spinner setup on your own device. That stays on your device, except the setup you send to your overlay.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

  • hosting and infrastructure providers, that run the site, the overlays and the polls and store the accounts, only to provide the service;
  • Twitch and Google, that confirm who you are when you log in;
  • public authorities, when the law requires it.

These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: while your account exists;
  • Overlay state: deleted after 30 days without use (the link in your account stays until you delete the account);
  • Polls and votes: at most 48 hours;
  • Game suggestions: until they are among the oldest past the latest 2,000;
  • Usage counts: they do not identify anyone and are kept as statistics.

Your rights and deleting your account

You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your data, and to delete your account, by writing to contact@streamprize.com from the email of your account or telling us your channel. We answer within 15 days and delete within 30. These rights follow Brazil's data protection law (LGPD) and apply to you wherever you are.

Logging out ends your session on this browser. You can also remove StreamPrize's access in Twitch's Connections settings or in your Google account.

Children

StreamPrize is not meant for children under 13, and streamer accounts follow the minimum age of Twitch and YouTube. If you believe a child gave us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. If a change affects how we use account data, we will say so on the site before it takes effect.
